Chef and co-owner Jeremiah Langhorne won the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic in May 2018. Langhorne, a native of the DC area, spent five years as chef de cuisine under Sean Brock at McCrady’s (as well as stints at Noma and Charlottesville’s OXO) before returning to the District to shine a spotlight on the Mid-Atlantic region’s bounty of farms. He’s just begun scratching the surface of recipes, ingredients and techniques he wants to explore and interpret on The Dabney’s ten-foot-wide wood-burning hearth.
