Markets through the years
A walk through five seasons of 14&U and Bloomingdale. Click a year card on the season recap page for the full story.
Below is a quick photo tour of the last five seasons. Each band covers one year, oldest first.
2022 — Back at full strength
After two strange seasons, 2022 was the year our markets felt like themselves again. Saturday mornings at 14&U and Sundays at Bloomingdale packed the sidewalks. Producers reported some of their best volume in years, and the chef tent ran almost every weekend from May through November.

2023 — The chef tent goes weekly
2023 was the year cooking demos became the heartbeat of both markets. Local DC chefs cycled through the chef tent week after week, turning whatever was in season into something everyone wanted the recipe for. Strawberry weekends in June felt like a small festival.

2024 — A bigger table
Growth was the story of 2024. More producers, more programs, more partners. Bonus Bucks reached more families than any previous season, and our chef partnerships expanded into evening dinners that brought market ingredients straight into DC dining rooms.

2025 — Ten years and counting
2025 was a milestone year, a decade of community-based, producer-only markets in DC. We marked it with a season-long anniversary thread, looking back at the producers and chefs who built these markets while pushing forward with new programs.

2026 — This season, on now
This is our current season, and it's going strong. Saturdays at 14&U, Sundays at Bloomingdale, the chef tent running, the music playing, and the produce piling up. Come down on a market day, you'll find us.
