Our Markets

Two markets, year-round

Saturdays at 14&U. Sundays at Bloomingdale.

Both markets are producer-only, sourcing exclusively from the Chesapeake Watershed region — DC, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

Reopening for the 2026 season. We're now accepting vendor applications from farmers, food vendors, and local artisans. Email [email protected] to apply, or visit our vendor application page for full details.

14&U Farmers' Market

When: Saturdays, 9am to 1pm · May through November
Where: 14th & U Streets, NW Washington, DC (in front of the Reeves Center)

Our flagship market in the heart of the U Street neighborhood. 14&U turns a downtown sidewalk into a lively producer-driven market every Saturday morning. Expect peak-season produce, regional cheeses and meats, fresh-baked bread, live cooking demos, and a strong local-business pop-up rotation.

Bloomingdale Farmers' Market

When: Sundays, 9am to 1pm · year-round
Where: 100 block of R Street NW, between 1st Street and Florida Avenue

The Bloomingdale market runs every Sunday, all year. The lineup rotates with the seasons — winter brings storage crops, cured meats, and baked goods; spring is leafy greens and asparagus; summer is tomatoes, corn, and stone fruit; fall is apples, squash, and pumpkin. A strong roster of pop-up food vendors and artisans rounds out the market.

What "producer-only" means

Every farmer at our markets grows what they sell. Every food vendor makes what they bring. We do not allow re-sellers, brokers, or warehouse-bought produce sold as local. If you see it at our markets, the person standing behind the table either grew it, raised it, baked it, brewed it, or made it themselves. This commitment is the foundation of how the markets work.

How to support the markets

  • Apply to be a vendor — we're accepting applications for the 2026 season.
  • Volunteer at the market manager's tent on Saturdays or Sundays.
  • Cook a demo in our chef tent.
  • Donate to Bonus Bucks to match SNAP dollars for low-income shoppers.
  • Just show up on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Foot traffic is everything for our producers.
