“I love working with seasonal ingredients because we are able to express their truest and highest form of flavor and textures. The reason I cook is because food has constantly been my driving force on understanding who I am as a person and my family’s cultural heritage.”
— Chef Bobby, Thip Khao
Stop by the market’s chef tent this Saturday, when Chef Bobby of Columbia Heights’ first Laotian restaurant will be speaking about all things ginger: its unique qualities, flavors, aroma, texture, cooking applications, and health benefits). He will prep and offer a taste of a dish (or two!) highlighting this most pungent and delicious local ingredient. Hope to see you there!
